About Kyma

Born from the Ionian

Every wave leaves its own imprint on the shore. With this philosophy in mind, we created Kyma: a place where Mediterranean flavors, stunning views, and casual elegance come together to create a truly unique experience. Inspired by the rhythm of the sea and the wealth of local ingredients, we invite you to relax and enjoy the authentic flavors and the magic of summer.

The founders

Two brothers, one kitchen

TR

Takis Rapsomanikis

Owner & head chef

Born and raised in Zakynthos, Takis has spent his life between the kitchen and the Ionian shore. His cooking is rooted in the island's traditions — honest ingredients, open fire, and the daily gift of the sea.

DR

Demetris Rapsomanikis

Partner & chef

Demetris grew up alongside his brother Takis, learning the rhythms of a kitchen that never stood still. At Kyma he brings the same devotion to the stove — precise, passionate, and firmly rooted in Zakynthian flavour.

Where to find us

Location

Kyma is located on a beautiful stretch of coastline on the eastern shore of Zakynthos Island.

The small village of Kypseli is situated on a hill, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, orchards and small fields. Kypseli's shoreline is locally called Pahi Ammos (often spelled Pachia Ammos or Pahi Amos) — a quiet, beautiful beach on the eastern coast of Zakynthos. The name directly translates to "Thick Sand" in Greek, referring to the dense, pebbly golden sand that stretches along the coastline.
